PATIENT CARE REPRESENTATIVE / MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST 
AUSTIN, TEXAS


The Company:
A high growth-oriented group of progressive/innovative physicians specializing in Allergy and Immunology headquartered in Austin, Texas, with clinics located throughout Greater Austin, Houston, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Las Vegas and Southern California.   


Scope of the Job:
This position reports to the Director of Clinical Programs and Patient Experience and will be based in one of the clinics located in the Greater Austin Area.    The Patient Care Representative position requires a client-focused individual that is reliable, and well organized.  This individual has a commitment to provide high quality customer service, can effectively maintain relationships with patients, medical staff and providers, as well as perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  


You will:
Provide an outstanding patient experience during all phone conversations, office visits and while responding to patient concerns or complaints.

Schedule patient appointments and injections according to company guidelines and availability.
 
Operate multi-line phone system in addition to standard office equipment (fax, copy, scan, email, etc.).
 
Proactive hand in maintaining current account receivables, in addition to accurate application of received payments.

Maintains comprehensive knowledge of healthcare insurance and billing information; including processes and requirements.

Post and maintain informative office notices provided by supervisor.
 
Document all appointment associated tasks in the Practice Management (PM), electronic medical record (EMR) and other systems as required accurately and in a timely manner (demographics, insurance information, charge slip entry, etc.).
 
Act as a communication liaison between patients, staff and physicians.

Comply with regulations, standard operation procedures specific to position and state mandated laws.

Ability and willingness to cross train and support other clinical areas when necessary.

Perform all other job duties as assigned by supervisor.

Ability to stand for extended periods of time throughout the day.


Requirements:
Have one or more years of patient facing medical experience.
