The responsibilities of the
Lead Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting and Consolidations
, include internal and external reporting of the operating units and consolidated results. The position requires interaction with various groups within the corporate offices (i.e. treasury, tax, human resources, risk, financial planning & analysis, legal, etc.), domestic and international operating unit accounting personnel
Responsible for assisting manager/senior manager with accounting for mergers & acquisitions.
Performs reconciliation and analysis of goodwill and intangible assets for historical acquisitions.
Monitors equity activity, investigates and resolves reconciling items.
Conducts consolidated review and analysis of intercompany balances.
Performs accounting for various accrued liabilities and prepaid items.
Prepares financial presentations for investors, board, and executive management.
Prepares and reviews disclosure support materials and validates financial amounts included in SEC Form 10-Q and 10-K filings.
Assists internal and external auditors in resolving inquiries regarding process and results.
Evaluates existing processes for efficiencies and control deficiencies.
Researches non-routine/complex accounting issues.
Performs internal controls for areas of responsibility.
Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
Ability to travel up to 5% as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting and minimum 3-5 years public accounting experience or 4-8 years relevant industry experience within accounting field.
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP accounting requirements.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Hyperion/JD Edwards experience is a plus.

Must be able to perform complex calculations, understand accounting impact and implications of transactions and perform complex reconciliations of large volumes of data.
