is an innovative Physician Workforce Management company. Our core business is providing in-house Physician recruitment services to growing healthcare organizations across the country.
We are currently seeking an experienced Physician Recruiter to manage internal recruitment efforts for a growing multi-organization on Long Island NY.
General Purpose of Position:
The Physician Recruiter is responsible for administering strategies for identifying and recruiting physicians and mid-level providers. The ideal candidate has the experience and capability to recommend and execute several aspects of recruiting, such as identifying and interviewing the qualified healthcare provider, assisting in contract negotiations, receipt of current credentials, and participation in the integration of physicians and/or mid-level providers into the organization.
Primary Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to):
Generate and develop leads through advertisements, cold calling, referrals, mass mailings, internet sources, email blasts, receptions, and conventions.
Establish ongoing relationships with residency/fellowship training programs.
Prepare for and attend regional and state receptions and convention exhibits.
Establish relationships with practicing physicians and mid-levels.
Develop comprehensive recruiting plans for specific vacancies as appropriate.
Initiates contact and timely follow-up with prospective physician and midlevel candidates.
Document candidate processing in company database.
Interviews, screens and refers qualified applicants meeting organization and state licensing requirements.
Conduct verbal and written reference checks according to protocols
Coordinate interviews as appropriate with Regional or Clinical personnel or Medical Director.
Conduct timely follow-up interviews with all applicants.
Assist management in reviewing and negotiating terms of the contract with physician and candidates.
Follow-up to ensure receipt of all contracts.
Coordinates activities with credentialing, medical staff office and other team members and assists with scheduling and credentialing of applicants as needed.
Prepare monthly reports for goals, contacts, interviews and hires. Submit reports to management.
Maintains regular contact with new hires until the effective start date and beyond for retention purposes.
Participates on integration team to ensure physicians are on boarded seamlessly.
, Skills and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
2+ years of direct experience in physician recruiting in a corporate environment or agency recruiting firm
Demonstrated results in hiring physicians in a high volume setting.
Ability to facilitate interviews using best practice techniques.
Superior sales, communication and negotiating skills.
Excellent skills for working in a team environment and communicating with physicians, organization contacts, Medical Directors, and others.
Must be customer service focused, team oriented and goal driven.
Knowledge and experience using social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
Ability to work well under pressure in an environment with ever changing priorities and multiple group dynamics.
The ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.
